We hopped out anyway, well more like fell out ‘cuz the van sits high off the ground, and we headed toward the gate. “Yup,” I thought, “another ho-hum nursery,” and I got ready to be bored.
Then…
SPEECHLESS!!!
I mean really…
Speechless.
My mouth was open the entire time in shock over the amazing creations in every direction.
And AP—I don’t know, she might have been having an out-of-body experience amongst all the jaw-dropping succulents.
We saw things at Navarro’s that seemed to have come from some other planet!
But did you notice the 600 on that pot? That’s dollars. Talk about prices from another planet! You MUST have a very thick wallet if you wish to purchase anything here.
Navarro’s is located in Monterey County where it services the very wealthy in Carmel and surrounding areas. And there’s something about people with money and why high prices don’t matter. Instant impact! They all want it. And they can buy it here.
It takes many years to grow succulents to a point of maturity where they create such beauty, and that does not come cheap. Plus the pots alone are high-end….and so so beautiful!
Or NOT pots…
And then there was THIS succulent…
And some smaller ones like it…
And that’s when AP finally broke under all the succulent excitement. She HAD to have one of those VERY unusual succulents at the VERY low price of $150! (For ONE!) (Without the pot!) Holy shit. Unusual indeed.
And there it is, now living at her house and adding to her property value.
WHAT IS THAT?
I hear you.
The owner and his daughter finished creating this masterpiece just the day before we got there.
I need it in my yard.
Don’t you?
